- A cubic yard of sand weighs approximately 2700 pounds which equals about 1.35 tons.
- Silica registers 7 to 7.4 on the MOH Scale.
- Coal Slag registers about 7.6 on the MOH Scale.
- The bulk density of sand is 2.614.
- A 100 pound bag of sand equals 1.16 cubic feet.
- A 50 pound bag of sand equals 0.58 cubic feet.
- A 1000 sq. ft. bunker will take 28 tons of sand.
- You will need 1 ton of sand to lay 1000 bricks.
- You will need 1 ton of sand to lay 100 concrete blocks.
- Pneumatic tankers come with 20 feet long sections of hose for delivery. Please let us know when ordering if additional hose is needed.
